RHINO PROTECTION PROJECT by NABU and TeeGschwendner

The Indian rhinoceroses live in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal and India.

The deep wrinkles make the rhinoceros look as if it is wearing armor: hence the name "Indian rhinoceros". But this armor tinnot protect the Indian heavyweights from the loss of their habitat and from poaching for their horn for illegal sale. The last 3,500 animals are threatened with extinction due to brutal poaching and illegal trade.

TeeGschwendner and NABU are taking protective measures to ensure the survival of the Indian rhinoceros in its stronghold in the state of Assam, especially in the Kaziranga National Park. Part of the project is the active fight against poaching. By enjoying your tea, you are supporting NABU's nature and environmental protection projects in India: For every 250g packagesold, 1.00 Euro is donated to NABU.
