Green and black tea, as well as white, yellow and oolong tea, come from the same original plant, namely the tea plant Camellia sinensis.
“Tea” on its own traditionally always refers to an infusion made from a plant derived from the tea plant, which belongs to the camellia family.
Infusions made from dried herbs, fruits, spices, mate, rooibos or honeybush are called "tea", with a small "t".
We have around 350 varieties of premium quality loose teas. From black, green, white or oolong tea to herbal, fruit and rooibos teas - our range offers the right tea for every palate!
For each of our teas you will find a tip for the dosage and preparation (on the product page and on the label on the front of the tea package). We have tested each individual type of tea with filtered water, different dosages, water temperatures and brewing times in order to find the characteristic and best result from our (professional) point of view.
Yes, our teas are vegan with a few exceptions (mostly due to the ingredient caramel).
Tea is best stored in a cool, dry, dark place and well sealed. Small amounts of tea can be stored in TeeGschwendner tea bags. Larger amounts are best transferred to containers that can be sealed well. Tea should always be consumed as fresh as possible, so if in doubt, buy small, always fresh amounts. Important note: keep the Matchacan I n the fridge so the taste stays fresh for longer!
If stored correctly, black, green, white and oolong tea will not spoil. Fruit and herbal teas should not be kept longer than the recommended best-before date. If stored in a cool, dry place, the tea will last for 3 years from the factory. If the tea ever gets that old at home, you may have bought the wrong type of tea :-)
Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Switzerland) within approximately 3 - 7 days after conclusion of the contract (if advance payment has been agreed, after the time of your payment instruction).
Please note that no deliveries are made on Sundays and public holidays.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.
The shipping costs for delivery addresses in Switzerland are CHF 8.90.

Yes, delivery to a packing station or a post office is possible without any problems.

Yes, you will usually receive an order confirmation by email within a few minutes after completing your order. As soon as your order has been packed and handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive the invoice from us by email.
